YMCA North London fun run & festival 2019

Crouch End, YMCA North London, Fun Run Festival 2019

Greene & Co. have sponsored the YMCA North London Fun Run & Festival for the past eight years and we are delighted to announce our continued support of this fantastic charity fundraising community event in 2019. The YMCA North London set this up 29 years ago with 50 adult runners, and it has grown since then into an adult race with a maximum of 1,800 runners and 8 children’s 1 mile races with around 200 children in each race.

The YMCA North London has been serving the local community since 1929. In total they look after a direct access hostel, a fitness centre, a children’s activity centre, an out of school childcare programme, an advice centre, a baby nursery and a youth project. Their Fun Run & Festival is their largest fundraising event and attracts crowds of over 5,000 people from the local area, bringing together the whole community for a day to raise funds and awareness of the work they do to enable some of our community’s most vulnerable  members to thrive.

This year the Music Stage will be featuring a full line up of local artists, young people and adults, musical and dance performances. The full line up will be confirmed nearer the time, so please visit https://www.ymcanorthlondon.org.uk/events/fun-run-festival/ymca-fun-run-festival/ for all information regarding the fun run race bookings and information and festival line up.

Greene & Co. organise a number of stalls in the festival which this year will be raising money for the YMCA North London. Many of these are put together by our staff, but we also invite local businesses to come along and make the most of this fantastic exposure to people who live in the area, for a small donation to this charity. In the past we’ve had everything from Sumo Suit Wrestling to face painting, and are looking for a similar scope this year. The Greene & Co. team will be returning with the hugely successful raffle. Visit one of our branches for more information.

This year the event will take place on Sunday 19th May 2018.
