we support our local community

Greene Sundays, The Lexi Cinema, Kensal Rise

Greene Sundays

We are proud to have partnered with The Lexi Cinema to bring you Greene Sundays - where we offer the local community a big movie at a small price. With Greene Sundays you can enjoy a screening every second Sunday of the month for just £2.50 (regular adult ticket price £12).

This year we have showed some fantastic screenings including, The Two Faces of January, Calvary, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

What's showing this month?

In the warmer summer months we like to move our audience outside to enjoy a pop-up screening at The Nomad instead.

Moors Bar & Theatre – The Patriarch

Moors Bar & Theatre

Moors Bar is a drinking establishment in trendy Crouch End Broadway, favoured by the area's local celebrities.

Known already for its colourfully themed parties, in spring 2013 owner Andy James decided to expand the venue’s potential. As an acclaimed actor himself with strong links within the industry he decided to use his bar to start the first fringe theatre in Crouch End.

In 2013, Greene & Co. entered into a partnership with the theatre to help support this blossoming cultural gem, and to increase local Crouch Enders’ awareness of its events.

On Saturday 28th March 2015, over 100 local residents and baking aficionados attended a lively competition and tea party at the Kentish Town Community Centre. There was fresh buffet lunch prepared by members of Kentish Town Community Centre’s very own Youth Club, children’s crafts, chocolate egg hunt and tea party... and lots of delicious cake!

Our VIP judges were Sophie Grey and Karen Street of Crazy Baker, Anna Lerner from the Camden Fairtrade Network and Deputy Mayor of Camden Cllr Lorraine Revah!

Cirque du St John

2014 - Third Annual Cirque du St John's

Greene & Co. were the key sponsors of the third annual Cirque du St John's, the most prestigious fundraising event of the year for St John's Hospice.

Held at the prestigious Cafe de Paris on 11th September 2014, guests enjoyed a champagne reception, beautiful three course meal, world class circus entertainment and a silent auction.

Exclusive lots this year included a 7 night stay at the worlds most famous billionaire retreat Jumby Bay, a day trip to France on a private jet and tickets and tour at the home of Cricket - Lords.

The event raised £75,000 for the Hospice. These funds help to continue providing free care for over 3000 people and their families this year.

Open Garden & Studios, Queen

2014 - Open Garden & Studios Queen's Park

We sponsored the Queen's Park Open Garden & Studios for the first time on Sunday 15th June 2014. The event welcomed activities aimed at children and a competition for under 16s organised by local photographers.

Featuring lots of beautiful gardens and landscaping, visitors were able to find inspiration for their gardens and/or terraces at home.

The event also introduced Salusbury Greenspace, a new area where pupils from Salusbury Primary School can grow fruit and vegetables in a garden created in the corner of the Paddington Cemetery.

London Mongolia Limo

2014 - London Mongolia Limo Service

We were pleased to support the team of four young engineers on their brave trip to Mongolia.

As part of the official 2014 Mongol Rally, they drove a 20 year old Rover limousine from London to Mongolia, through Europe, Turkey, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan, across 22 countries, 6 time zones and 3 deserts. And back.
All this to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières and Cool Earth.

A detailed journal of their adventure can be found on their website.
