Neighbouring Stroud Green is Finsbury Park, which spans between the three boroughs of Haringey, Hackney and Islington. The area’s reputation has improved significantly in recent years thanks to vast levels of investment, helping to make it a highly desirable neighbourhood in which to live, supported by fantastic transport links into the City.
With a great selection of pubs, bars, shops, cafes, restaurants, not to mention one of the largest parks in London, Finsbury Park, where there are often events, from rock concerts to festivals, there are no shortage of things to see and do locally.

The area, which is not widely known, is filled with delightful shops and restaurants, including some African and West Indian eateries, reflecting the large communities of these groups living in the area. There are also plenty of open green spaces in and around Stroud Green.
Although somewhat of a hidden gem, Stroud Green is a very popular place to live. There is a wide selection of properties in Stroud Green to select from, particularly large Victorian and Edwardian houses and converted apartments. There are also good value for money ex-local authority properties available, as well as new homes being developed across the area, including around 500 units on the site of the old waterworks.
Stroud Green station closed in 1954, but the area, depending on what side you are on, still benefits from Underground stations: Finsbury Park (Piccadilly Line, Victoria Line, National Rail, Zone 2) and Manor House (Piccadilly Line, Zones 2 and 3), as well as Overground links of Crouch Hill (National Rail), Harringay and Harringay Green Lanes. There are also lots of buses operating locally.
UPPER HOLLOWAY, N19
Located in the London Borough of Islington, Upper Holloway is a residential suburb that appeals to various types of people. However, the term ‘Upper Holloway’ is rarely used these days. Instead, the area is generally regarded as being a part of Archway or Holloway.
Upper Holloway, which has undergone major improvements in recent years, features a wide selection of fashionable shops, pubs and restaurants, making it popular with a range of homeowners and tenants.
Many of the residential properties in Upper Holloway are from the Victorian era, including multi-storey town houses, many of which were converted into flats during the 1970s and 80s. There are also plenty of ex-local authority properties.
